The manufacturing sector continued to broaden in February, and at a quicker tempo, the most recent survey from Enterprise NZ revealed on Friday with a Efficiency of Manufacturing Index rating of 55.2.
That is up from the upwardly revised 52.2 in January (initially 51.6), and it strikes additional above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates enlargement from contraction.
Individually, manufacturing and new orders have been the massive gainers following seasonal weak spot in January.
